One of my favorite tricks in makeup country, both clients and myself, are using individual lashes to really improve a eye and brings some controlled play.
Not every occasion calls for a full strip lash and a strip can actually overwhelm an eye, but individuals can really save the day.

So today I'm going to teach you how to apply, so you have time to exercise; and then get out there and rock a fantastic weekend!

Now individual eyelashes can be a little tricky at first, but not to despair. practice a few times and you'll be just fine.
Some people like to have a hand mirror keep under their chin with their free hand to help them see what they do, others (like me) can not co-ordinates that and just lean into the bathroom mirror and touch their chin up.

First up, you're going to do all your eye makeup, including tons of mascara. If you're going to curl your eyelashes, be careful not to shrink and they upwards leaves. This makes it super hard to imagine a false eyelash farm and falsies never formed at that corner. So if curled, just get a gentle bend in the lash.

I use Duo surgical glue false eyelashes glue. You are highly unlikely to develop a response to the product, while some of the others I'm a bit skeptical about. It is about white and dry clear, so you know exactly when they are ready. You can
buy clear eyelash glue or black eyelash glue, but I recommend this one.

Now the shots themselves. You can buy Ardell or Andrea individual lashes everywhere, and they are actually very cheap and really good. Depending on the length of your shots get either short black flair or medium black flair.
This is not actually a single stroke, but instead is a group of lashes knotted together.




Now with your tweezers (mine Tweezerman tweezers, my absolute favorite), gently lift off an eyelash from close to the knot. They are kept in the plastic case with a soft gum. If you pull out the end of the lash you change the shape.




dip coated in glue and get the knotted end. Hold for a few seconds to let it tough.




Now with your eyes mostly closed, place the lash right at the lashline. Not on the eyeliner and the eyelashes, but instead place it where a new eyelash will grow. The idea here is to make it look as if they were your own.

I did not place so they are pointing straight, but instead they angle slightly to the outer corner of the eye. It broadens your eyes and make them look more sultry and mysterious.
(and we all want to sultry and mysterious ...!)



Your first lash get your outer lash most. Now you have 2 or 3 more farm along the lashline, not too close to each other, just far enough apart that the outer corners of each lash slightly intersect. This creates a depth and make your lashes look thicker and sexier.

While doing so, you view working seeking maintains, or if you are super talented, closed. If you bat your eyelids to the strokes start heading off in all different directions and will start turning sideways etc.
(I told you it was difficult, but once you have them drive down its like a bike - you do not even think about the mechanics of it, you just do it)



I put the back of my tweezers under the constant level and keep them inline with the natural lashes.



It takes a few miutes for shots too dry, so sitting with your eyes closed and Zen or anything.

Once they have dried up they look fab-u-shots you yourself have grown.



This manual was shot during a teen photo shoot, so I was a hardcore lash fantastic, we have to look a little natural. But I used individuals all the time, so will photos of some rocking thick children take sometime soon so you can see how they look as well.
