1.) "you need to do your makeup heavier for images"
No. In fact you do not.
there are so many foundation options now that gives you the perfect coverage, but can be used super clean to create the illusion of beautiful, perfect skin. Which after all is the goal of the foundation anyway.
the cheeks to glow and look fresh, not like big stripes of the war paint and eyes should be strengthened, not overkilled.
a face full of thick, heavy makeup look hideous, and as the night goes the ever worse.
Nice used makeup photos beautifully.
2.) "you may not use sunscreen on your wedding day"
Yes you can.
you could not pay me to go even one day without sunscreen! It's definitely formulations that leaves the skin, and it's slimey formulations that flare or flash back white with flash photography, but there are many other that works perfectly, gives you the sun protection throughout the day.
Kiehl's Super fluid UV Defense SPF 50 is a pure formula that protects you from 90% of the Sun's harmful rays (aging), and stops you from burning. It feels so light as the air on the skin.
Skinceuticals sheer physical UV Defense SPF 50
this facial SPF has state of the art technology to keep you protected. The formula is super clean, paraben free and is ideal for all skin types, even the most sensitive. It also plays beautiful makeup, and torch not with flash photography.

love it
remember to get sunburned on the wedding day is the ultimate bridal beauty buzzkill!
3.) "you must use the colors and styles that are in vogue"
Nope. Not true.
the goal here is not to make you look like a fashion victim-it is to make you look like the most beautiful version of you. Your wedding day makeup to be timeless and beautiful. When you look at the pictures on the wall in 10 years time you will not be haunted by the colors that makes no sense or have dated, statement brows that now looks stupid (instagram eyebrows are the worst offenders!), you will see yourself looking radiant and beautiful and timeless.
4.) "you need to carry big fake eyelashes"
I'm all about the lashes. I love them to death. But there are many things to take into consideration when you choose the wedding day the lashes, one that is the light that you want to be photographed in. Most brides have their wedding pictures shot out in the daylight. If you have a bright sunny day, a large strip of lashes or a dense strip of lashes act as a Awning poking out of the upper eyelids, casting a large shadow below. The light will take hold of the black line and makes you look like you are squinting in all the pictures.
a good makeup artist will not be married to a lash, but will have a selection of lashes with her, and choose the right one for that day.
I love the Strip lashes, but often use individual lashes in my brides that I can emphasize the lashline without chugging down the eye.
a girl must have options ...
